| Bomb attacks rock Pattani and Yala |
| Two bomb attacks separately rocked two deep south provinces on Wednesday, injuring altogether ten. In Pattani, police were alerted at about 8.30am that a bomb exploded in front of a tea restaurant in the heart of Muang district. |

Found at the scene was debris of a motorcycle which police believed the explosive was hidden. The blast destroyed five motorcycles, three cars. The restaurant's windows and nearby shops were shattered by the explosion.
Six people having breakfast at the restaurant were injured and rushed to a hospital nearby.
This was the second time in six months that this restaurant was the target of bomb attack. Most of its customers were officials and soldiers.
A witness said that driver of the motorcycle that was believed to carry the explosives had parked the vehicle about 100 meters from the restaurant and disappeared. A customer who became suspicious of the vehicle went to check it but found nothing. Shortly after that, a suspect triggered the bomb.
Meanwhile in Yala, police were alerted at 8.45am that a bomb went off near the entrance of a fresh market in Muang district.
Police inspected the attack site near Tiensenghuat shop on Kwangchieng Burana road found that three soldiers providing security near the site and a local villager were injured

6 injured in Pattani bomb attack
Pattani - Six civilians were injured when an insurgent detonated a homemade bomb hidden inside a motorcycle outside a teashop in this southern border province Wednesday morning.
The explosion occurred at 8:30 am about 100 metres from the weekly market in the Pattani provincial seat. Many soldiers came for shopping but no soldiers were injured in the explosion.
Police found a mobile phone SIM card at the scene.
The explosion damaged 5 other motorcycles and 3 cars.
It was the second time that the shop was hit by a bomb attack. The first time happened six months ago.
Witnesses told police that a man rode the motorcycle and parked it outside the teashop. The man was seen walking back and forth between the market and his motorcycle for awhile before the explosion occurred.
